Dr. Pallavi Sharma is a proud general practitioner practicing in Melbourne suburbia. She has been trained overseas as well at University of Queensland after arriving from India, Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra. She is extremely vocal about Female empowerment is the Co-Chair of Women in GP committee of RACGP. She is busy delivering raising awareness amongst the Community on the weekends talking on topics like Autism, Dementia,Post Natal depression etc. She has been fortunate to be able to act in a Bollywood Film directed in Australia few years ago. Art and Cultural activities play a big part of her life. Apart from work her extracurricular activities entails creating community awareness on topics of Dementia, Autism, depression etc. She has recently developed keen interest in understanding Vedantic philosophy apart from bushwalking to help her maintain rhythm between body and mind.
Dr. Anil Asthana is a Gastroenterologist who works in private practice in the eastern suburbs (Knox Private & Cabrini Malvern), public appt at Royal Melbourne. He trained at Kings College London UK, completed his British surgical membership (MRCS), Gastroenterology training from The Alfred Hospital. He has published widely & was awarded the Victorian Govt VESKI award for his work on ultrasound in Crohn’s disease. He serves on corporate health technology company boards, academic institution boards, investing firm board & is the founding Chair for GESA-Private Practice (National Gastroenterology Society). He was founding National Chair for GENIUS (Gastro Society for Intestinal Ultrasound). Born & raised in the UK, as a 3rd generation outside of India, he has been passionate about Indian diaspora work – he was invited by PM Narendra Modi & the Indian Govt in 2019 to advise improved connection between Indian Government & Indian diaspora. He is the founding member of Rashtram & Rishihood University in Delhi, an academic leadership institution. He lives with his wife Priyanka, his 3 boys (Aadarsh, Yuvaan & Avinash) & Liverpool football club is the 2nd love of his life (after his wife).
