Indian-origin Medical Dental Allied-health Association, IMDA, is a professional body representing medical and health practitioners, of Indian origin, across all healthcare disciplines.

Our mission is to bring together and represent the voice of medical professionals of Indian origin in order to serve the Australian community in the spirit of “Vasudhaive Katumbakam” – the whole world is one family.

What started as a few handful members in a room has now expanded to over 300members. This forum represents empowerment of a group of health professionals who are eager to promote their knowledge and multicultural background for the betterment of society. IMDA encourages its members to become beacons of professional excellence and leadership; philanthropy and giving back to the community is an integral part of what defines us and our mission.

This forum empowers its members to make use of their knowledge, culture & languages in promoting better health outcomes for ethnic and wider Australian communities.

IMDA has been a great anchor for businesses in health fields and sharing the wealth of medical knowledge with superb camaraderie.

Through various events IMDA encourages doctors, dentists, allied-health professionals and aspiring students to be beacons of leadership and professional excellence. Through social and cultural events IMDA enables people to experience Indian heritage with pride. IMDA continues to aspire to contribute towards community affairs too.
